Omaha Beach D-Day 82: 150+ Player Arma 3 Historical Milsim Event

Milsim Units is proud to officially sponsor one of the largest and most historically immersive joint operations ever staged in the Arma 3 community.

On the morning of 6 June 1944, soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, the legendary “Big Red One”, landed in Sector Easy Green on Omaha Beach alongside the 741st Tank Battalion. They faced some of the fiercest German defenses of the entire Normandy invasion. Under murderous fire from cliffs, bunkers, and machine-gun nests, these men fought their way up the bluffs, cleared the draws, and pushed inland toward St. Laurent and Colleville-sur-Mer. Their courage and sacrifice on that blood-soaked shoreline became one of the defining moments of Operation Overlord and the liberation of Europe.

Eighty-two years later, on the exact anniversary of that historic day, we have the opportunity to honor their legacy by recreating the assault with the highest degree of authenticity possible in Arma 3.

Event Details

The operation will take place on Saturday, 6 June 2026 at 18:00 GMT, hosted by Brothers in Arms (BIA). This large-scale historical recreation is planned for over 150+ players and promises to be one of the most ambitious D-Day events ever attempted in the milsim scene.

Whether you are a seasoned milsim veteran or relatively new to the scene, this is a rare chance to be part of something truly meaningful.
