WARDOGS 100K Clip Challenge Recap: 100 Clips, One Winner

The WARDOGS 100K clip challenge is done, the results are out, and the WARDOGS Discord has been arguing about them ever since. That usually means it went well.

Bulkhead put out the Top 100 compilation on its YouTube channel under the title "WARDOGS | THE $100K CLIP REVEALED." It counts down 100 ranked clips, #100 to #1. That's a lot of people sweating through raids, spraying down hallways and hoping the one clutch they got on stream holds up against everyone else's.

According to players in the WARDOGS Discord, the #1 clip takes home $100K in real cash, and the other 99 get 100K in in-game cash. Bulkhead devs picked the winner, and plenty of players weren't happy there was no community vote. Bulkhead hasn't published official rules that we could find, so treat those details as community word, not gospel.

The field was stacked

A field this big means plenty of smaller channels got their moment, and that's half the fun of watching the full countdown. But some very big names showed up too, and several of them made the list.

RankCreatorAudience
#2BedBananasYouTube channel of around 1M (likely match), 61K on Twitch (bedbanana)
#8Psisyn475K on YouTube (@Psi), 283K on Twitch
#16EclipseFPS37.6K on YouTube
#35ThatFriendlyGuyYouTube channel of around 57K (likely match)
#39TaisonTV666K on YouTube, 165K on Twitch
#52StoneMountain642.42M on YouTube, 462K on Twitch
#61Sacriel741K on Twitch, 103K on YouTube
#71LeopardStealth27.3K on YouTube
#72LiddleRoshiiYouTube channel of around 82K (likely match)
#91SniperNamedG70K on Twitch

StoneMountain64 landing at #52 and Sacriel at #61 tells you how deep this thing went. Names that size usually headline an event like this. Here they were mid-pack.

A few people got on the board more than once. SHRIMP placed at #83 and #55. HIEB placed at #86 and then climbed all the way to #13. And the winner of the 100K real cash did it twice as well.

The clip that won

The #1 clip belongs to SUBZWORLD (X | Twitch | YouTube). A missile is coming for his helicopter, and instead of eating it he throws the bird into a barrel roll and slips the shot. Then he bails. The empty heli keeps going, plows straight into an AA tower and takes an enemy out with it. Missile dodged, pilot out, kill confirmed by a pilotless helicopter. You can't plan that.

And he didn't just take #1. He also landed #21, and honestly, I think #21 was the better clip to win with. Two clips in the top 25 out of 100 isn't luck. That's someone who plays WARDOGS a lot and plays it well. Congrats, Subz.

He was live on Twitch when he found out, and he posted on X right after:

"Im shaking - what in the f*** - this is actually insane - thank you"

Over in the WARDOGS Discord, he added:

"Just want to say - thank you to whoever voted for me - #2 was actually insane - i have no idea how i won"

That's a winner giving the runner-up credit before anyone asked him to.

Now imagine the uproar

By our rough count, #wardogs-chat put out about 2,000 messages in about the first 90 minutes of the annoucement. Maybe 60 to 70 percent were about the clips, and around 80 to 90 percent of those were critical of #1. "Anti-climactic" and "#2 got robbed" came up again and again. Some went as far as calling it rigged, though that's an accusation, nothing more.

Not everyone piled on. One player in the WARDOGS Discord put it simply: "No matter what the #1 clip would've been people would still be crying." Another told the room to "stop hating... all he did was post a clip."

And the alternatives were all over the board. #14, a low-altitude rendezook no-scope on a pilot, was the most-named pick. #6, #7, #9 and #10 had their backers too. Some players even said Subz's own rendezook clip, one he didn't submit, should have won.

The real fight, though, was about #2 and who made it. BedBanana is a big creator, and that split the room. One player in the WARDOGS Discord wasn't having it: "2nd clip was a streamer... you cant seriously let that win." Another fired back: "The winner should be the best clip period - streamer or non-streamer."

Some came at it from the business side: "do you understand how mad people would be if a rich streamer won 100k? that would be horrible marketing." Another wondered, "Did they just swap BedBanana and the heli clip places for the sake of it not being a content creator?" And one player made the point that the outrage might have just flipped direction: "people saying bedbanana should've won would've probably been more mad the moment they find out who he was."

BedBanana himself hasn't commented as far as we've seen.

So imagine the uproar if it had gone the other way. Should a big creator be able to win a $100K community prize? And which clip actually deserved #1? Tell us in the comments.

Up next: WARDOGS Season 2

Season 2 is here. Bulkhead announced it for October 15, with four weapons, four vehicles, rain, and a Wager Vendor.
