WARDOGS: The New Tactical All-Out Warfare FPS is Now Supported on MilSim Units
The milsim and tactical shooter community has a fresh contender to get excited about. WARDOGS (full title: WARDOGS: All Out Warfare) is generating significant hype as one of the most ambitious large-scale FPS games in development.
We’re excited to announce that WARDOGS has officially been added to the MilSim Units platform. Units planning to support the game can now list it on their profiles to attract players looking for tactical, large-scale warfare experiences.
What is WARDOGS?
Developed by BULKHEAD and published by Team17, WARDOGS is a Tactical All-Out Warfare FPS designed for massive, player-driven battles.
Instead of Battle Royale or extraction shooters, WARDOGS focuses on three-team, 100-player warfare where coordination, decision-making, and smart resource use determine victory.
Core Gameplay Highlights:
- Up to 100 players split across three rival teams fighting over dynamic control zones
- Large destructible maps (around 2x2 km in current showcases) set in derelict industrial mountains of Eastern Europe
- Persistent cash economy, earn money through kills, revives, objectives, and smart play, then spend it on custom loadouts every life
- Full combined arms combat: infantry, tanks, APCs, helicopters, and more
- Building and destruction mechanics that reward creativity and tactical positioning
- Proximity voice chat for immersive battlefield communication
- Realistic ballistics with bullet drop and penetration, balanced for engaging gameplay
The game runs on Unreal Engine 5 with a custom “War Dynamics” framework built on top to handle large player counts and high-intensity destruction.

Why the Hype is Real
Since the reveal trailers dropped, WARDOGS has been compared to a mix of:
- Classic Battlefield large-scale chaos
- Squad tactical teamwork
- Arma player freedom and combined arms
Players are particularly excited about the economy system, which creates meaningful progression within matches and encourages long-term strategy rather than pure run-and-gun gameplay. The ability to build fortifications, use heavy vehicles, and approach objectives in multiple ways gives units plenty of room for creative operations.
Early playtesters, which some of the Milsim Units staff has been apart of, and content creators have praised the fun factor after dozens of hours, and the game already sits on hundreds of thousands of Steam wishlists. If you haven't already hit that Wishlist now!
WARDOGS on MilSim Units
WARDOGS fits naturally into the tactical and realism space. Units that enjoy large-scale combined arms, objective-based gameplay, and team coordination will find a lot to love here.
If your unit plans to run WARDOGS operations, we highly recommend updating your profile to include it. This will help your unit appear in searches and filters for players looking for new tactical experiences.
